Why should you do this:

  • You address the blogger personally
  • Most website owners do not read requests from people who do not bother to research the contact details
  • The request is specific, nothing is more annoying than unspecific requests that take time
  • You start with recognition and a detail on the blog
  • The website owner notices that you have read his blog
  • The email is short and sweet, stay under 200 words
  • Very few bloggers have time to read long emails
  • You make three suggestions, that’s enough
  • If you only suggest one topic, write a few points about the content
  • You show your experience and expertise
  • Show why you are the right person to write the article. Don’t write a resume, a few highlights are enough

You can’t sit on a guest post for a week and then post it on a regular blog. You only invest this time in “high-quality sites” / “authority” sites.

These are websites that are “big” on the net. For these you write articles that are better than those on your blog .

Your article must blow the website owner away. That has to be content that changes opinions, triggers conversions and encourages action.

OR

  • Write a list article
  • These articles are particularly popular
  • Write a long article with 1200 words or more
  • Integrate pictures, diagrams, screenshots and other graphics
  • These support your statements and loosen up the content
  • Include internal links from the blogger’s blog
  • This is great for SEO and the website owner realizes that you have dealt with his blog
  • Integrate external links to other “authority” sites
  • Also try to put a link to an article of yours — this link must match the content, otherwise it will be rejected
  • Create a stunning headline

That looks expensive, doesn’t it?

But it’s worth it so that you can post a guest post on an “authority” site. Just think about the advantages it brings.

Content for “non-authority” sites

These websites also get a valuable article delivered. Only you don’t invest as much love in such guest posts as in “Authority” sites.

Briefly shorten the article. 800 words and more are sufficient here. Don’t show everything in detail.

The author’s biography

The author’s biography must not be missing, because it is your personal brand advertising.

Insist that you can publish them with your guest post. This is your reward for the hard work.

What must your author biography include?

The text is:

  • Written in the third person
  • Personalized and tailored for the target group
  • Underpins your credibility / expertise
  • Has a call-to-action (visit page, download, follow)
  • Motivated to click on your landing page

Motivate readers to click, for example by offering a free e-book. Bribe your readers a little and offer them free added value.
